The 24th AsiaTEFL International Conference (AsiaTEFL 2026) will be held at Xi’an Jiaotong University from May 28 to 31, 2026. AsiaTEFL 2026 invites proposals for presentations from practitioners, researchers, and policymakers as well as graduate students from across Asia and beyond to share insights, foster collaboration, and explore the emerging theories and methods in the evolving field of ELT. Proposals may be for individual papers, posters, symposia, colloquia or workshops sessions. The AsiaTEFL International Conference is a large-scale international academic event that has consistently advanced foreign language education and research across Asia while strengthening academic exchange among teachers and scholars in linguistics and applied linguistics throughout the region. Besides engaging parallel sessions, the program will feature inspiring keynote, plenary, and featured presentations, outstanding book exhibits, and ample opportunities for professional networking and collaboration.
The conference theme of AsiaTEFL 2026, “ELT in a Changing World: Global Challenges and New Opportunities”, examines how English Language Teaching is adapting to address urgent global needs by leveraging AI, innovation, and sustainable practices to generate significant social impact.
